Nautical novels by Richard Woodman
"Characters
as rich as Patrick O'Brian's and as timeless as Forester's Hornblower."
The Mariner's
Library Fiction Classics series by Sheridan House continues to meet the
growing demand for historical sea adventure novels by offering the best of the genre.
Among the books released as part of this line are seventeen acclaimed seafaring adventure novels written by British author Richard Woodman. Never before published stateside, they include three historical novels and the 14-volume Nathaniel Drinkwater series, which centers on the adventures of a captain in the Royal Navy during the Napoleonic Wars.
Woodman is widely considered to be among today's finest nautical fiction writers, and many critics have referred to him as the literary descendent of such luminaries as C.S. Forester and Patrick O'Brian.
